WeChat is the top social media in China. Actually, WeChat has been invincible for many years. But WeChat is hard to create for foreigners because of the insane verification process. Besides, it could be blocked easily. Some users just forgot their WeChat ID so they can’t log in to WeChat anymore. Actually, there is a way to avoid that. In this article, I will show you the ways of WeChat sign in.

WeChat Sign In

If you don’t have WeChat yet, you might need to know how to sign up for WeChat account. If you already have WeChat, you definitely need to know how to avoid WeChat being blocked and how to unblock WeChat account. Don’t be too late to read these. Many users came back to my website after WeChat blocked, but it’s too late.

Ways of WeChat sign in

  • WeChat ID sign in.
  • Phone number sign in.
  • QQ ID sign in.
  • QQ email sign in.
  • Facebook sign in.
WeChat Login ways

WeChat ID and mobile phone number signing in WeChat are the most users used. Let me show you why you should add more sign-in ways.

WeChat ID + Password

Apparently, most people use WeChat ID + Password as a way to login to WeChat. But if you’re new to WeChat, you must be can’t memorize WeChat ID. Why? because WeChat ID is set randomly by default. Nobody is able to memorize it. So you need to set your WeChat ID manually so that you can memorize it.

As for passwords, if you already have one, please do not forget it. But if you’re using mobile phone number to create WeChat account. Then, you do need to set a password for your WeChat.

No matter what way you are using to log in WeChat, please write the WeChat ID and passwords down. It will help you to unblock WeChat account. WeChat will require you to provide more information about your account. WeChat ID is an essential part of it. Keep that in mind!

PRO: You still have WeChat account even if you lost or (changed) your mobile phone number or other binding accounts.

CON: It will be quite hard to memorize if you don’t use it often. The WeChat ID and password can be forgotten easily.

Phone number + Password (or SMS code)

For new users, the mobile phone number was bound to WeChat when they signed up for WeChat account. So you can use the phone number as a login way. And enter a password or SMS verification code to login to WeChat. But if you are new use on WeChat, you should link your mobile phone number to WeChat firstly. And you must do it if you’re a foreigner.

PRO: You don’t need to memorize any password or ID. You still can log in to WeChat.

CON: It’s quite normal to change the phone number or lost the mobile phone. If you don’t set up a WeChat ID and password, then you might be not able to login to WeChat anymore. The mobile phone number is the essential part of WeChat.

Before you change mobile phone device (or lost), please check out this link as WeChat will require you to use old phone device or you should set something up alternatively.

QQ ID or QQ Email + Password

QQ account (QQ ID) and QQ Email are almost the same things. When you get a QQ account, then you get a QQ Email too. All you need to do is add @qq.com.

Linking qq account or qq email to WeChat will enhance your account’s security. And help you to reset WeChat password when you forgot WeChat password, or unblock WeChat.

PRO: Enhance your WeChat, avoid WeChat being blocked, reset the password, etc.

CON: Many users don’t have qq account. And it’s not easy to sign up qq account.

Facebook sign in to WeChat

WeChat offers you login to WeChat via Facebook. There’s a log in option for login WeChat via Facebook. That’s for foreign users, as Chinese users are not able to connect to Facebook. So don’t hesitate to link your Facebook account to WeChat.

PRO: Login WeChat via Facebook is convenient for foreigners. And enhance WeChat account’s security.

CON: This should be only a backup way, don’t forget to link your mobile phone number and set up WeChat ID, and password.

As I said, The WeChat account is hard to create but blocked easily. So linking more accounts to WeChat and setting up WeChat helps your account to avoid being blocked. So don’t forget to set it up.

Besides, WeChat provides WeChat for Mac, WeChat for Windows, and WeChat online for users. If you don’t have any one of them, you should have now.
