Kuaishou(快手) is another video-sharing platform like Tiktok. Kuaishou(快手) and Douyin(抖音) are both the most popular video-sharing platforms in China. The video contents are almost the same, fun, enjoyable, educational, sharing everything related to China. Almost all content creators will post on Douyin and Kuaishou at the time. So you should try to get a Kuaishou account to know more about China. In this article, I will show you how to create Kuaishou account.
You can earn money in Chinese Kuaishou, but I don’t think you can withdraw the money, because you don’t have any bank issued by China. However, one of my WeChat and QQ friends who is from overseas. he told me that he used the money earned on Kuaishou to pay for the QQ VIP account. I would never think out that way. Kuaishou has over 626 million monthly active users (MAU). And the Average daily time spent per DAU is 111.5 minutes, that’s almost 2 hours on average. So it surely proves how popular it is.
Can foreigners use Chinese Kuaishou(快手)?
The good news is the Chinese Kuaishou is available for foreigners. Most Chinese social media platforms are not available to foreigners. But this one is one of the available platforms. Of course, I mainly show you the Chinese social media platforms that foreigners can use.
Besides, you can find Kuaishou English, in other words, Kuaishou supports English language. That’s a big difference from Chinese Tiktok (Douyin). You’re not able to change the interface language of Douyin app.

NOTE: There are two versions of Kuaishou. The International one is known as Kwai and the Chinese version is known as Kuaishou(快手).
Sign up Kuaishou account
Kuaishou or Kwai registration is really simple and easy. But you might not find Kuaishou App in Google play store or Apple store. The Kuaishou app might not upload to some countries or region app store.
If that happens to you, and you’re using Android phone, then you should try to use a Chinese app store to download it. Of course, you can contact me on QQ or WeChat, I will share the Kuaishou apk with you directly. But if you’re iPhone, then you need to change your Apple ID to country so that you will find the Kuaishou app. The apple products only allows you download app from the app from Apple store. So I’m afraid I’m not able to send you the apk file.
Once you download it, you can create Kuaishou account and earn money through watching videos. Let’s dive into Kuaishou registration now.
Sign up Kuaishou with phone number
- Open Kuaishou app.
- Click on “More Options”
Sometimes, it will pop up “earn money” alert when you first open the app, you can click on that, it will lead you to account registration page as well. Like the image below. You can see Kuaishou is eager to let you know you can earn money through watching Kuaishou videos.
Of course, if Kuaishou detected your phone number, then you don’t need enter your phone number manually, you just need to click on “One-Click login” and check the Privacy Policy box. Once you confirm that, your phone number will be registered Douyin account automatically.
- Select your region code and then enter your mobile phone number.
- Check the Privacy Policy box.
- Click on “Get Code” and enter it.
Besides, if you have WeChat account, QQ account, or Weibo account, then you can click on either “WeChat” ,”QQ” or “Weibo” to login to Kuaishou directly without registration. Of course, if you failed to create Kuaishou account. You can try this way without registration.
Login Kuaishou with WeChat
- Click on “WeChat” on the login/Sign up page.
- Comfirm Login.
In this case, you must installed and logged in WeChat on your phone. Once you click “WeChat” to login with WeChat then it will pop up a confirmation. Kuaishou app will be authorized to access your WeChat public informinformation like, WeChat name, WeCaht Profile Photo.
Login Kuaishou with QQ
- Click on “QQ” on the login/Sign up page.
- Comfirm Login by clicking on “同意”.
Same as before, Kuaishou will be authorized to access your QQ info. So make sure you logged in QQ account on your phone before you use this way to login Kuaishou account.
Login Kuaishou with Weibo
- Click on “Weibo” icon on the login/Sign up page.
- Allow Kuaishou to open Weibo.
- Click on OK to let Kuaishou access your Weibo info and relationships.
Login with Email
You can see there is an option for logging Kuaishou with Email. However, I can only see that’s for you to logging with linked email, and it requires your password. Well, you can try to create Kuaishou account with email. As from my end, I can’t sign up Kuaishou with email. If you do, please let me know, thank you in advance.
WeChat Kuaishou Mini program
I’m not sure you heard about WeChat mini program or not. WeChat mini program allows you to open app without installing apk to your phone. You can open apps on WeChat mini program. That will extremely save your storage space and time.
However, the app you want to use in WeChat mini program has to be developed (coded) in WeChat mini program. Almost all big companies or platforms has developed mini program. So did Kuaishou.
So if you don’t want to install or not found Kuaishou app, you can use WeChat mini program to watch Kuaishou videos.
All you need to is searching “快手” on WeChat search bar. and then choose the Mini program filter.
If you don’t have any other Chinese social media accounts, then I recommend you to create at least one of them, WeChat, QQ, and Weibo. Because once you got one of them, you can login with them directly to 99% Chinese websites or apps.
