How to delete or block WeChat friends

There’re many cases that you just want to delete, unfriend someone on WeChat, even you want to block someone who annoying you too much on WeChat. As you two might never be friends again. What causes this is because WeChat will not remove you from their contact lists when you delete them. However, it’s hard to test who deleted you without them knowing. Then, how do I know who deleted you on WeChat? There’re some tips you can use to know who deleted you on WeChat.

WeChat Moments:

This is the most used way to know who deleted (unfriend) you. Basically, if you can see their WeChat Moments before, and then you suddenly just can’t see their WeChat Moments. You can only see a line on their WeChat Moments.

It could be they hide that to you, or they’ve deleted you. But if you see “only the last 10 moments are shown, because you aren’t friends on WeChat“. Then, there’s no doubt that they’ve deleted you, 100 percent sure. You can freely delete them too.

Sending Any Messages:

Once someone deleted you or block you on WeChat, they are still in your contact lists, but if you send any message to them, WeChat will notify you, like this “has enabled Friends Confirmation, [Send a friend request] to chat”. Obviously, they’ve deleted you on WeChat.

Setting a group chat:

You can invite some contacts to the group, and if someone deleted you, you will get alert when you invite them. Please note that you do not send any message to the group, or your group members will be notified. What you need to do is setting a group up and find who deleted you, and then delete them. After that, leave and delete the group.

Besides, you should only invite less than 30 people to the group without letting them know. If invite too many people they could get notified.

How to delete block friends on WeChat?

Once you found that someone deleted you. You might need to delete them as well. Let’s get started.

1. Go to [Contacts].

2. Click on friends who you want to delete from your contacts lists.

3. And then click on three dots […] on the top-right corner of the screen.

4. Click on [delete] or [block].

Well then, what’s the difference between delete and block? Someone you delete still able to add you again. However, they can’t add you again after you block them. If you want to be friend again with them who you blocked, you need to go to your block friends list, unblock them first.
