I can’t retrieve my Weibo because the country in Northern Europe where I am living in is not on the list of phone country codes, Weibo have only few countries in the list.
It’s very strange how Weibo could make such an idiotic solution because they allow you to register with a phone number from a country that is NOT on the retrieval page phone country code list.
Somebody should contact Weibo and tell they have a serious flaw.
My account is frozen forever, thank you Weibo, I have to wait until the whole Covid nonsense is gone so I can buy a very expensive ticket and travel to their office, but for now China doesn’t allow foreigner in.
hi i’m dealing with the exact same problem. i’ve got an weibo account since 2010, and now trying to retrieve it to find an old friend. I forgot my password and tried retrieving it through my email, turns out they still ask for SMS verification. I’m from Europe too, and my country is not on the list. So, I asked a friend from South Korea to send me the sms code and it worked. If you know a friend or family member from one of the available countries, u can ask if they can help u with the sms code.
